If you need the following service please DO NOT USE the online booking service:

  • Online STI testing

If you have no symptoms and just want a STI test, please visit https://leicestersexualhealth.nhs.uk/online-services

  • Sexual Assault

We advise anyone who has been sexually assaulted or raped to contact the Sexual Assault Referral Centre (Juniper Lodge) on 0116 2733 330 for advice and support: https://leicestersexualhealth.nhs.uk/leicester-sexual-health/sexual-assault

If you need urgent care outside of these hours please contact 111 or A&E.

  • Emergency Hormonal Contraception (morning after pill)

If you’ve had unprotected sex and don’t want to get pregnant, you can take the Emergency Hormonal Contraceptive (EHC) pill (also known as the morning after pill) up to 120 hours or five days after unprotected sex. EHC is more effective the sooner you take it, so act fast.

For more information and advice on how to access EHC, please visit https://leicestersexualhealth.nhs.uk/emergency-contraception
Alternatively, please call us on 0300 124 0102 or contact your local Pharmacy or GP.

To find a local Pharmacy to you, visit our Clinic and Service Locator for a list of pharmacies which supply it.

We advise calling the pharmacy in advance to ensure the pharmacy is open, has emergency contraception in stock and the staff to provide it.

  • PEPSE

If you have had sex with someone without a condom in the last 72 hours (3 days), who you know has HIV or think they may have HIV, please do not use the online booking system. Please contact us 0300 124 0102, or if we are not open please attend your local A&E.

There is a treatment called PEP (Post Exposure Prophylaxis) that may reduce your chances of getting HIV if started within 3 days (72 hours) of being exposed. Further information about PEP can be found on the NHS Choices website: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/hiv-and-aids/treatment/
