Your sexual health services are changing
From 1st April 2025, sexual health services across Leicestershire County and Rutland, which were previously provided by Leicester Sexual Health, will be delivered by HCRG Care Group.
What do these changes mean?
From 31st March 2025, Leicester Sexual Health will no longer provide sexual health services from the following clinics:
- Hinckley Health Centre
- Rutland Memorial Hospital
- St. Luke’s Hospital Market Harborough
- Loughborough Health Centre
- Coalville Community Hospital
Other services previously delivered by Leicester Sexual Health, including the C-Card, will no longer be provided in these areas. Condoms will be available from HCRG Care Group.
I live in Leicestershire, but my address is closer to the Haymarket Health clinic in the City Centre and I have always attended there. Can I continue coming to Haymarket?
There are a variety of services available to you in the community from pharmacies and other healthcare centres. This includes emergency contraception (EHC), oral contraception (the pill and mini pill) and condoms. You may want to speak to your GP or primary care provider to find out what services are available in your area.
You can find the nearest Leicestershire or Rutland clinic/service on the HCRG Care Group website: Find Your Nearest Sexual Health Clinic | HCRG Care Group
I’m not sure if I live in Leicester City or Leicestershire County.
You can find out if you live in Leicester City or Leicestershire County by typing your postcode in the gov.uk website: Find your local council - GOV.UK
What if I have an appointment booked after 31st March?
Any appointments required for the above listed clinics after 31st March will be managed by HCRG Care Group. Some staff from Leicester Sexual Health will transfer to HCRG Care Group, so you may continue to see many of the same healthcare professionals.
For Leicester residents, appointments made at Haymarket Health, Beaumont Leys and CHOICES clinics will continue to run as usual, provided by Leicester Sexual Health.
