We offer free tests for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) which you can order online and take at home.

Online testing kits are available for people aged 16 and over in Leicester.

You will take an online questionnaire and tests will be recommended for you based on your circumstances. The kits can test for chlamydia, gonorrhoea, syphilis and HIV.

The kit comes with instructions on how to take your test, as well as information on how you will get your results.

Testing Kit Provider Change

As of 1st February 2026, STI testing kits are now ordered through our new provider www.sh.uk.

STI testing kits are no longer available via our previous provider (SH:24) for people living in Leicester.

Kits test for the same STIs as before, and are still free, confidential and posted in plain packaging.

Hepatitis C

Hepatitis C is a virus which can be passed on through unprotected sex with someone who has the infection, you are at risk if there is a possibility of blood-to-blood contact. Read more about how it can be passed on here: How do I get Hep C? – HEP C U Later.

You may be able to order a free hepatitis C testing kit online. Fill in a few details to see if you can get a free hepatitis C testing kit. Please note, this service is only available for people aged over 18 years old, with an address in England.
