Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Trans

Whatever your sexuality you can receive friendly, confidential and accurate advice and support by visiting a clinic, but there are also local services available for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans communities.

Our LGBT clinics offer a friendly, non-judgemental and confidential service, with an openly gay Specialist Nurse.

  • A free and confidential full sexual health check 
  • Screening for chlamydia, gonorrhoea, HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B & C
  • Testing performed by a fully trained member of staff from Leicester Sexual Health
  • Results available within 10-14 days
  • Free safer sex products

Trade Sexual Health - is a health charity that offers free, confidential health advice, information, services and support for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans communities of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

CLINIC xtra - The full sexual health check for LGB&T communities

In partnership with Leicester Sexual Health, CLINIC xtra is an STI testing service, offered at Trade Sexual Health, for those who don't have symptoms, but wish to access regular sexual health screening, information and advice.

The aim of this service is to allow lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people to access all the screening expected from a local NHS sexual health clinic in an informal setting in Leicester City Centre.

Men's Sauna Clinics

The aim of the service is to allow gay and bisexual men, and other men who have sex with men, access to all the screening expected from a local NHS sexual health clinic, with an openly gay male nurse available to provide the tests.

To further support the sauna clinics, Splash Spa & Leisure, Club 29 and Amigos give free entry to those men who only wish to visit the clinic and not use the other sauna services.

IMPORTANT SERVICE INFORMATION

Mpox information for patients

We are now able to vaccinate people at high risk of Mpox however, there is currently a national stock shortage of the vaccine and we only have access to a limited supply. Because of this, we are offering the vaccine through routine services based on the risk level of the person, in the same way we offer other vaccines such as hepatitis A and HPV.

If you feel you are at-risk of Mpox or would like to discuss further with our sexual health team, please contact us on 0300 124 0102.

We are receiving a high volume of calls and may not be able to answer your call right away. We thank you for your patience and ask that you are respectful to our call handlers otherwise your call may have to be terminated.
